How does sign-in work?
Sign in to Charon with Discord or with a one-time email link — whichever you prefer. We never see a password.
Billing is separate. Subscribe through Patreon or PayPal — pick whichever you already trust. We never see your card directly. Your Charon tier syncs to the email or Discord on file with your chosen billing platform, and stays in sync if you change it later.
What's the difference between a delivery and a download?
Delivery means the bot joins your in-game session and builds the corvette in front of you, part by part, using No Man's Sky's native multiplayer system. The ship lands in your save when you save the game. Live, real-time, no save files swapped.
Download gives you the .nmsship file directly. You install it using a save editor. It's the same final ship — just a different installation method, for builders who prefer that workflow.
Both count as one against your monthly allotment. You pick whichever you prefer per order.
What does "monthly allotment" actually mean?
Each tier gets a fixed number of deliveries per month — Shade gets 5, Passenger gets 10, Voyager gets 20, Patron of the Crossing gets 50. Allotments reset for everyone on the 1st of each calendar month (midnight, US Eastern). That's a separate clock from your subscription renewal, which bills on the date you originally subscribed through Patreon or PayPal.
Unused allotment doesn't roll over. If you don't use your 10 deliveries this month, next month you still only get 10. Use them, or save them for the catalog drops you're really excited about.
Will my game get banned?
Charon uses No Man's Sky's own native multiplayer system. Nothing in your save file is modified by an outside tool when you receive a live delivery — the bot is a multiplayer guest with edit permission, exactly the same kind of session another human player would have.
If you choose the download option, you're installing a .nmsship file in your save the same way the NMS modding community has been doing for years. We don't recommend any practice the broader community hasn't already validated.
What happens if I cancel?
Cancel any time on Patreon or PayPal. You keep your current tier through the end of your billing month, then drop to Shade at the start of the next cycle. Any corvettes already delivered to you stay yours — they're saved in your game.
You can re-subscribe whenever. Your account stays put.
Which tier is right for me?
Most members are well covered by Passenger or Voyager — 10 to 20 deliveries a month is more than enough to keep a fresh fleet. Patron of the Crossing, at $20/month for 50 deliveries, is for the heaviest ship hunters and the people who want to support the project directly.
And there's no wrong answer: the catalog is identical at every tier, and token packs top up any tier when you need a few extra crossings.
Can I upload my own corvettes?
Yes — every member can upload corvettes to the public catalog, including free Shades. Ships within the normal envelope (under about 6,000 parts) go live automatically; envelope-pushing builds get a quick mod review before publishing.
Verified Builder is a separate, optional status that rewards proven builders with priority placement in the catalog, a branded profile page with social links, and a Private Catalog showroom — a curated space for unlisted ships where visitors send per-ship requests you approve or decline. Apply through the Builders page when you're ready.
