The Veiled Lantern is VoidArchitect's smallest exploration build. It exists for the kind of journey where every kilogram of hull matters and where being seen is a choice, not a default. Single pilot, hydroponics niche behind the seat, cargo bay sized for what one explorer actually brings back.
The signature element is the lantern itself — a forward beacon array that retracts entirely under hull plates when not in use. Closed, the ship reads on scopes as a smooth small volume. Open, it's a single bright source pointed at whatever the pilot wants to see.
VoidArchitect described this ship in journal entries for months before he built it. The repeated phrase was "a lantern in a long hallway." The finished hull keeps the line literal — most of the ship is corridor and most of the corridor is dark.
The retractable lantern is the build's mechanical thesis: visibility is a deliberate signal, not a constant state. Pilots who order this ship tend to be solo travelers who already understand that.
Cross-Platform Safe band (under 2,500 parts). Renders cleanly across every supported NMS platform. Builder-verified on PC and PS5.
Click Order This Corvette and the Ferryman dispatches immediately. A short in-flight checklist appears — friend-code the bot, set multiplayer to "Anyone," be at one of the three handshake spots (a Space Station, the Anomaly, or your Freighter), and park your starter corvette nearby. Hit Ready when you're in position. The bot joins your session within seconds and builds the corvette live in front of you. Total time is typically about a minute.
If the Ferryman is busy with another delivery or offline for a moment, you'll see a quick retry timer instead — no queue, no waiting list. Click Retry when prompted.
Reminder: save your game once delivery completes. Until you save, the corvette exists only in your session and will not persist.
