Five things the Ferryman needs
Add the bot as a friend in NMS
Friend code:
CHARON-BOT-001. Open the in-game friend menu and add it. The bot accepts automatically.Open your multiplayer to "Anyone"
In your in-game Options → Network → Multiplayer Privacy, set to
Anyone. The bot needs an open session to join.Park a starter corvette nearby
Have any small starter corvette parked at your meeting point. The bot transforms that starter, part by part, into The Astraeus in front of you.
Travel to your meeting point
Wait at a Space Station, the Anomaly, or your Freighter — whichever's closest for you. The bot warps into that session and appears near your starter corvette.
Confirm you're in position
Make sure you can see your corvette pad and the surrounding area is clear. Once you hit Dispatch below, the bot is on its way.
Ready when you are
The Ferryman is standing by. Check off the five items above and hit Dispatch.
Save your game as soon as the delivery completes. Until you save, the corvette exists only in your active session and will not persist. A single Save when the bot finishes locks it in forever.
