Upload a Ship

Three ways to bring your build to Charon. Pick whichever fits how you work.

What are you listing?
1
How are you uploading?

All three methods produce the same result. Use whichever you have.

Drop your .nmsship file here or click to browse
Max 8 MB · .nmsship or .zip archive produced by a save editor / NMS Model IO Tool
The bot adds you in-game to start the capture session.
Before you hit Submit

Be at a Space Station, The Anomaly, or your Freighter with multiplayer open before the bot adds you. Those are the three NMS handshake spots where it can warp into your session. The bot doesn't need to know which one — it joins wherever you are, scans the ship live, and exits.

Compatible with Swiss Army Knife exports and any tool that produces Charon-spec ship JSON.
No file needed. This build will appear on your builder profile only — not in the main catalog. Visitors can see the photos, specs, and credit line, but won’t be able to order or download. Perfect for portfolio work, experimental builds, or anything you want to show off without parting with the file.
Approximate total number of parts in the build. Shown on your ship’s detail page so visitors know its scale.

Tell us about it

This is what shows up in the catalog. Be honest, be specific, be proud.

Pick one or more. The first you pick is the primary — it's the one that shows on your catalog card. The others stay searchable but don't clutter the card.
All three methods are equal-weight on the catalog. Tag honestly so shoppers can filter the way they prefer.
Check every camera setup this corvette's cockpit supports. Shoppers can filter the catalog by P.O.V., so verify these in-game before you check them.
Comma-separated. Helps customers find your ship beyond the category filter.
2,000 characters max.
Customers see which platforms you've verified the ship loads on.

Amenities

Mark which usable tech you've built into the ship. These are the in-game stations and modules someone gets when they receive your build.

These show alongside the standard amenities on your ship's catalog page.
Short, sharp warnings about functional constraints — separate each with a comma. Rendered in red on the ship's catalog page so shoppers see them BEFORE they order. 500 characters max.
Add the display names of anyone who helped build this ship. They'll get a notification with Accept / Decline. Accepted collaborators appear on this ship's credit line AND in their own builder profile's catalog.

Photos

Six required shots. The hero is your catalog thumbnail — make it count.

JPG, PNG, or WebP · max 8 MB each · 800×600 minimum recommended.
Drop or click any slot to attach. The Hero shot is your catalog thumbnail — pick the one that sells the build.

YouTube or TikTok only. One URL. Adds a "Watch on YouTube/TikTok" button to the ship's catalog page. Leave blank if you don't have a video.

Where should it live?

All five steps look complete. Ready to send.

Ship received.

If your build is under 6,000 parts, it's already live in the public catalog. Larger builds head to mod review — typical turnaround is 24 hours, and you'll get a Discord DM either way. You can find it in My uploads on your account anytime.
